ADESA excites sellers with its ‘Smart Selection Service’

Smart Selection Service OPENLANEOPENLANE introduces its ‘Smart Selection Service’ to its sellers. This brand new service will allow all leasing companies, manufacturers, dealers and fleetowners who sell their vehicles on our online car auction platform to include or exclude potential buyers based on a number of criteria.


To Johan Meyssen, CEO of OPENLANE, the Smart Selection Service is an affirmation of our continuous efforts to meet our sellers’ needs: “Sometimes it’s necessary for our sellers to be able to target specific buyers. For example, they might only want to export certain vehicles, and not sell them domestically. This tool allows them to do just that.”


And, there are many more criteria that sellers can now use. Buyers can, for instance, also be selected based on their profile. If needed, a seller can even go as far as to only select specific buyers who are part of their professional network. Johan Meyssen explains: “The Smart Selection Service enables certain sellers or manufacturers to organize an auction only for their own dealer network, provided these dealers are registered on OPENLANE.”


OPENLANE has already gotten positive reactions on the new tool.  Joeri Vanhumbeeck, CEO of Carconnex, shares his view on the Smart Selection Service: “It allows us to easily target the buyers we have in mind for our cars, so we are enthusiastic about this new service.”
