19 October 2022 - OPENLANE Europe is expanding its European business activities to the Nordics. Through a new collaboration with KED Finland, OPENLANE intends to strengthen its buyer base and diversify its offerings.
“When it comes to business growth, the only way is up. The North is an exciting new frontier for OPENLANE. It’s a different region with different tastes. Which takes the benefits beyond just expanding our customer base. We’re also tapping into a fresh market that will serve our existing customers,” says Mike Arts, Sales and Marketing Director at OPENLANE Europe.
Electric vehicles in particular are more popular in the Nordics than in other regions. And Nordic customers are also very interested in SUVs. “By entering this market, we’re not just bringing our northern customers the cars they want, we’re also creating new avenues for international sales and new buying opportunities for our loyal customers down south. Everybody wins,” continues Mr. Arts.
OPENLANE recently joined forces with KED Finland, one of Finland’s top consultancies, to help break into the Nordic market. Mr. Arts: “Our new partner is an automotive industry business specialist in the Nordic and Baltic regions. This means they’re perfectly poised to guide us as we venture into these lands, discover new customers, establish a foothold in the Nordics, and increase our northern sales. And as our partnership progresses, they’ll step into the role of OPENLANE’s sales representative in Finland. Edvard Duncker, Partner of KED Finland concludes: “We will look after Finnish customers, giving the OPENLANE international business a local face and facilitating smooth communication and transactions.”
The partnership took effect on 1 September 2022 and the companies look forward to ongoing success.
